Who are we?
Jack Masters has been producing British Made knitwear in our factory in England since 1987. We supply all manner of brands and businesses.
Lockdown hit us hard as a small business and we found ourselves with unprecedented problems. But, ever the optimists, we set ourselves the challenge of producing a reusable face mask that can be produced with our existing hi-tech machinery.
Many other clothing manufacturers have switched to producing gowns and scrubs to aid everyone in this difficult time, but we do not have that kind of machinery. So we had to work out how we could use our machines and our know-how, to produce something different.
With the help of Altaf and David, and other local manufacturers and suppliers; we came up with a plan to manufacture a mask.
Altaf introduced us to Byron from MicroFresh, who developed an anti-microbial liquid which can be applied certain fabrics. The MicroFresh ingredient is natural and sustainable, it is free from nano technology and is effective in reducing bacteria by up to 99.9%. Wash tested effective beyond 50 washes with a 95% efficacy. Micro-Fresh products are independently tested by the University of Leicester and Aston University to ensure the technology continues to develop and give the very best to our customers. We are Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified, BPR registered and have the British Allergy Foundation stamp of approval, making Micro-Fresh® hypoallergenic, and safe to use on the most sensitive skin
Our masks can be reused safely and contain a pocket for a N95 filter, for an extra layer of protection.
